Here’s another new blog* about trying to improve at golf: From Thirty to Scratch. I love the name and the goal. While many people are struggling with colder conditions right now, here is a golfer from Western Australia, currently concerned with a too-hot forecast. Poor baby, right?
Anyway, he (I assume it’s a he but I guess I don’t really know) only has a few posts, so we’ll have to wait and see if he keeps it up. I hope so, because I like reading about other people’s progress. It has sort of the same feel to it as my own blog and New2golf, in that we’re all trying to get better and we’re writing about the process and progress.
Stick with it, thirty!
*Wow, did I actually scoop HOGB and EatGolf on this one?

Nice Find K!
I’ll have to update my blogroll and add both of those guys

When I first started to play “seriously”, I went from a 20+ (and cheating to be there) to a 5 in about 8 months. That was with a coach and hitting balls everyday it seemed. Now I yo-yo between a 4 and 8. But I think when I was a 12 or so and trying to get better, that was the most “fun” I had on a course. One birdie meant the world to me. Now, if I don’t get 2 or 3, it’s a bit of a let down. But then again, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be than on the course, even now.

Wow, Atlanta. That’s a serious and fast improvement. I would love to get that much better that fast. Good for you!

I’m a solid 15-20 😉 I have a good feeling this year though, unlike last year. I read too many tips before last season and tried changing too many things at once. Don’t think I’ll be scratch by the end of the year, but I’m hoping for single digits!

Sorry to double post, but that last one reminded me of something an old prophet once said (exaggerating for emphasis). Golf lessons are like pain-killers, take one and you’ll feel great, take too many and it will kill you.

Post all you want, nothingman. The more, the better!
Hmm… “Solid 15-50 to single digits” just doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as “thirty to scratch.” But good luck all the same.
Thanks for reading, B.F. I look forward to more posts from you as well.
