New link to Golfpunk

I wish I could say I read every post on every golf blog, but who’s got the time for that? One I do enjoy is over at Golfpunk, so I’ve added a link to it on my side bar. It shouldn’t have taken another mention of me over there to get me to do it, but hey, my inattentiveness can be penetrated by ego like any other human being.

Happy birthday Media!

I’d post it on your site, Media, but I don’t like registering for stuff.

Happy 40th birthday!

Viewing Problems

It has been brought to my attention that some people are having troubles with the display of my site on their computers. I don’t really know what I’m doing here and I’m trusting blogger.com to get this right with their templates. However, I have messed with the code a little which might be effecting the overall display. I have tested it using all different resolution settings on my monitor and it looks fine to me.

I wonder if the problem is browser related. I use Firefox, which I really like so I put a link to it in case anyone wants to switch. I have been using it for awhile now and really enjoy the lack of popups and other internet annoyances.

If that doesn’t solve the problem, I don’t know what else to do! If you other, more experienced and technology-savvy bloggers want to share any tips with me, I’m all ears, er, eyes.

Glog

My name is Kristen and I am a golf addict. (Hello, Kristen!) Even though I have only had this habit for about 10 months, the addiction is severe. I played my first round ever on August 20, 2004 at an executive course called Westlake in California (where I live), and since then I have golfed in five other states at some really great courses. I immediately joined a club so I could get an SCGA number and start establishing a handicap. I’ve never taken a “mulligan” because I think it’s important to count every stroke and play from every poor angle and lie in order to learn from my mistakes. I post every score and my current index is at 28.8 (down from the high 30’s-low 40’s after I posted my first 20 rounds).

I am starting this golf blog (I call it a glog) in order to document my progress and share my experiences. There are a lot of glogs and plenty of information out there by male golfers, which is great. However, while golf is everyone’s game and we all have similar struggles, I thought it would be nice to put a female perspective out there because we do have some different situations.

I will share scores, thoughts, ideas, lessons learned, course information, and much more – maybe even fashion opinions – as I proceed with this new passion of mine. At first, the format will be rudimentary, but I hope to make it more technologically modern with photos and links and such in the very near future. Please stay tuned and check back soon!
